The fact remains that this policy change was put together behind closed doors and in secret, without seeking any input from the State Legislature or from County Clerks who would be required to administer the change.

As I have indicated, the Senate will be returning on October 22 to act on legislation to block the Governor�s ill-advised plan, if that becomes necessary.

However, this important resolution affirms that county clerks all across this state will continue to follow the current law, and is further proof that the Governor is wrong to grant driver�s licenses to illegal aliens and potential terrorists.
