Coca-Cola to Donate Bottles of Water to Village Residents
Tuesday, October 11, 2005
Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno today announced that the Coca-Cola Company will donate more than 26,000 bottles of water to residents in the Village of Hoosick Falls to help deal with last weekends rainstorms that flooded a water filtration plant, leaving thousands of village residents without an adequate supply of clean drinking water.
"As we learned during the recent hurricane incidents along the Gulf Coast, providing a safe, reliable source of clean drinking water for affected residents is of critical importance during an emergency situation," said Senator Bruno. "I want to thank Coca-Cola for generously donating these bottles of water to the entire Hoosick Falls community. Their assistance will certainly help improve the quality of life for residents in the village during this pressing time of need."
The bottles of water will be delivered by the Coca-Cola Company this afternoon to the Hoosick Falls Village Hall. For questions regarding distribution to village residents, please call the office of Mayor Laura Reynolds at (518) 686-7072.
