STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF JERRY SOLOMON

Former Congressman Jerry Solomon was far more than a dedicated public servant. He was a tenacious fighter for his constituents, a larger than life patriot and a man who argued passionately to protect people�s rights and freedoms. He was a respected leader and a strong voice for us in Washington. The people of the Capitol Region and the North Country have lost a good friend and a man of great honesty who let people know exactly where he stood on any issue.

Jerry was a neighbor, a colleague and a close personal friend of mine for more than 40 years. His service and devotion to our region will forever be a part of our history and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
