The Twin Town Senior Baseball Club and Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno today announced that Senator Bruno has obtained $5,000 to aid in the installation of an infield sprinkler system at the Club's home field, the Stephen Valente Memorial Field, located in North Greenbush.

"We are very thankful for Senator Bruno's support in helping us purchase an infield sprinkler system," said Rich Haldeman, President of the Twin Town Senior Baseball Club. "Our field is in constant use and requires diligent care. We appreciate the Senator's assistance in obtaining resources to meet the needs of our programs."

"The Twin Town Senior Baseball Club is a great organization that provides recreation for the youth in our community," said Senator Bruno. "I am pleased to assist in securing funds for the infield sprinkler system that will help this organization to continue serving the local youth as a worthwhile activity in our community."

The Twin Town Senior Baseball Club currently serves 200 young men from the towns of North Greenbush, Sand Lake, Poestenkill and the City of Troy. Approximately 225 games are played on it's baseball field each year and the playing surface is now showing signs of overuse.
