Senator Joseph L. Bruno (R, Brunswick) was today unanimously reelected to serve as Majority Leader for the coming two year term beginning in January. Senator Bruno, who was reelected by the Republican Majority Conference to serve a sixth term, has served as Majority Leader for the past ten years.
"I am very proud to have received a unanimous vote from the conference to continue as Majority Leader for another two years, and I appreciate their support," said Senator Bruno. "Over the past ten years this conference, under my leadership, has initiated some of the major reforms that have taken place in this state. We recognize that we live in different times in New York State, and this majority will continue to be reflective of the changes and reforms that are necessary to continue to move New York State forward."
